Dear colleagues,
It is a privilege to share our Q2 2026 newsletter, and I am proud to report that INCOSE MENA is growing faster and reaching further than ever before. What follows is a snapshot of our wins and a look at the road ahead.
New Brand Identity
We have migrated to a refreshed logo (see header) and branding for MENACOSE, strengthening our visual identity as the representative body for systems engineering across the Middle East and North Africa.
World Defense Show 2026
MENACOSE participated in the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (February 8-12, 2026), engaging with leading organizations in defense and technology and raising the profile of systems engineering across the region. On the sidelines, we also networked with the SCOSE group in Riyadh, opening avenues for future collaboration.
Working Groups
We have launched three new working groups open to all members: a Subchapter WG to enable on-the-ground networking and local leadership; an INCOSE Handbook Arabic Translation WG to make this essential reference accessible to Arabic-speaking practitioners; and a Rail Systems Engineering WG addressing the rapid infrastructure growth underway across MENA.
Membership Milestone
We welcomed our first member into INCOSE’s Technical Leadership Institute (TLI), a selective program for next-generation systems engineering leaders. Our membership now stands at 124 members, reflecting our growing community.
New Programs
We launched Qahwa Gathering, a bi-weekly virtual coffee chat open to everyone, inspired by our region’s tradition of open dialogue. Alongside it, our Expert Talk bi-weekly seminar series is now underway for our members.
Looking Ahead
We are working on a White Paper on the current state of systems engineering in the MENA region. We are also in the first stages of planning for our first In-Person event in the region. By participating with us, you help shape the future of systems engineering in our region and ensure the chapter becomes a lasting hub for collaboration, knowledge, and professional growth.
